White After Labor Day

October 23, 2017

I’m not really one for antiquated fashion adages, no white after labor day being one of them. As far as I’m concerned the seasons are interchangeable on most pieces (ok, maybe not swimsuits). I love winter white, but that’s not the kind of look I was going for.

Zara and I had a breakup over the summer because of a bad customer service experience, but let’s be honest, I can’t be mad at them for long. Because it’s Zara and I love basically everything about them. I saw this minimalist v neck dress at Zara that was giving me handmaiden’s tale chic vibes. It also seemed like a piece that could transcend all seasons. Plus, it’s just really chic. Size note: I’m wearing a L, and totally could have sized down (I’m usually an 18).

I paired this dress over Eloquii’s miracle leggings. I already own a pair of the miracle leggings (they are AMAZING), but when I saw the new style with the ruffle hem I had to have them. These are not your mama’s leggings! They hold everything in, are highish waist, and the ruffle detail is really cool. At 5’3, they aren’t as short as I had hoped, but I pulled them up on my waist and managed to get the look I was going for.
